You won't have a problem finding something to do this weekend as a variety of events will be going on around the area.
Niles will hold its annual Arts in Motion event, which will kick off with a block party at 6 p.m. on Friday night. Great food, music by Niles' own Hm7 and plenty of other activities will be offered. Don't miss the Aerial Angels. This group of women performs high-flying circus stunts on hoops and aerial silk. They also have fire-eating stunts as well as crack bullwhip target-taking. The performance is free to all ages and will take place at 12:15 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:45 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Also this weekend, the Fort St. Joseph Museum, along with Western Michigan University, will host an open house at the dig site of the old Fort on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This event will showcase open excavations, an outdoor museum, a display of artifacts and a living history village.
In Cassopolis, FBI will perform at this year's Blues Concert, sponsored by the Cassopolis/Vandalia Chamber of Commerce, on June 23 at 6 p.m. at Don Horne Park in Cassopolis.
The first band on deck will be Mr. Soul Shine and Your Daughters Love, followed by Bottle of Blues from Elkhart, Ind., returning for the second year. Then FBI will take the stage for the all blues event. Be sure to bring blankets, chairs and bug spray there will be grilled chicken, ribs, candy and refreshments available. All donations will go to Helping Hands of Cass County.
A gospel concert will be held on Sunday, June 24, at Sam Adams Elementary School at 2 p.m.
