Not the right way to paint the town

What is the point in graffiti? Some of it may not be so bad, as some artists have painted some excellent and breathtaking work on buildings and cement walls. Unfortunately, when people decide to paint our town, they don't use the "artistic" side to the spraying painting.
There have been several problems at the skate park downtown. It has been closed on a few different occasions because these mysterious sprayers leave their not-so-good spraying on the cement rink. Now, some sprayers have decided to paint the side of the old Foylers Bakery with words and signs that mean absolutely nothing to most of us.
Foylers sits empty, as it has for awhile, but even an abandoned building doesn't deserve this. Not only does it look tacky, but it makes our town look bad.
Now it's going to be up to the city, or someone else, to take care of the new paint job.
Why must people do this? Is there really that much disrespect in someone that they have to act in this manner? If you feel you have to spray paint something, buy some cardboard and go to it in your backyard.
Why not paint your own house? I'm sure these painters would not enjoy someone coming up to their home and spray painting the siding on the outside, so why ruin something that isn't yours.
Let's put a stop to this. Niles is not a graffiti town and never has been. We are in the process of fixing our city, not making it look like trash.
