Teter opens Performing Arts Center

EDWARDSBURG – Edwardsburg native, Jay Teter will be performing at the grand opening of the new Fine Arts Center at Edwardsburg High School on Saturday, May 12 at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6.
Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door or in advance at the Edwardsburg High School box office or administration building office today until 4 p.m.
Proceeds from this concert will go toward the purchase of equipment needed for the new Fine Arts Center.
As an up-and-coming country music sensation, Teter hasn't forgotten his roots. He tries to give back to those who helped him along the way. As a graduate of Edwardsburg High School, Teter is very excited about performing for his hometown. He currently resides in Knoxville, Tenn. "Most of my family still resides in the Edwardsburg area," explained Teter. "We all love being a part of this community."
Teter has had four songs in the Top 40 Country Music Charts including "Football, Beer and You" and "Until You Find Your Mr. Right." His current albums are available in stores. He is working on the release of his fifth album.
Teter is scheduled to be the opening show for a Dolly Parton charity concert on May 20 to raise money for the new Ft. Sanders Sevier Medical Center in Parton's hometown of Sevierville, Tenn.
Teter is also busy with other performances including: singing the National Anthem at the Tennessee Smokies baseball game, performing a showcase for several record labels and previewing songs from his new album at the Nashville country music hot spot, 12th and Porter, as well as once again emceeing Martina McBride's Celebrity Charity Auction to benefit the YWCA. Teter also performs regularly at Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
