ATLANTA – The Florida Gators became the first team to win back-to-back NCAA men's basketball championships with the same starting five Monday night at the Georgia Dome.
The Gators, just like they did in the football national title game, dominated the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Florida posted a 84-75 victory over Ohio State to become the seventh team to win more than one championship.
Al Horford's 18 points and 12 rebounds led four Florida players in double figures.
Taurean Green added 16 points.
Ohio State freshman Greg Oden led all scorers with 25 points. He also snared 12 rebounds and blocked four shots.
Florida ends the season at 35-5, while the Buckeyes finish up at 35-4.
