Sergeant First Class Frederick S. Haas Sr., 65, United States Army retired, of Frantz Drive, Niles, died at 1:25 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2007, following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 3, at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles, with the Rev. Kyle Gardner of Saint John's United Church of Christ officiating.
Committal services will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles, concluding with Full Military Honors by the American Legion Post No. 309 of Decatur.
The family will receive relatives and friends for visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home, with Masonic services by the Volinia-Marcellus Lodge No. 227 I&M at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Saint John's United Church of Christ, Niles.
Arrangements were made by the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles.
