Easy win for Lady Bucks against LMC

NILES – The Buchanan varsity volleyball team had no problem handing visiting Lake Michigan Catholic a 3-0 loss Monday evening.
The Bucks posted a 25-8 win in the first game, followed by 25-12 and 25-14 wins in the second and third games, recpectively.
Setter Emily Ross went down with a ankle injury during the first game. Senior right side player Katie Backus stepped in and set for the Bucks.
Courtney Miller ended the night with seven digs and nine kills. Backus had three digs, one kill and 27 assists. Jayme O'Bryant had 10 digs, seven kills and three aces. Lindsey Borr added 18 digs. Mattie Arndt had two digs, five kills and two blocks and Anna Callahan had five kills and four blocks.
Buchanan is next in action at the Lakeland Conference tournament in Bridgman on Saturday.
