ELKHART, Ind. – Indiana residents along with Governor Mitch Daniels are saying goodbye to fat and hello to a healthy lifestyle. If you would like to jump on the Governor's bandwagon, what better way to do it than a Dual/Triathlon?
This Father's Day, June 17, PR Marketing Systems, Inc. and 3 Disciplines Racing bring a Dual/Triathlon to Ideal Beach in Elkhart.
Two races are scheduled, one for children and one for adults with the intent to inspire fathers to train with their children.
Excellent food will be prepared by JJ's Bar B-Q as well other restaurants.
Event beneficiaries are Junior Achievement of Elkhart County and The Center for the Homeless in South Bend, as well as all the people who take the challenge and get involved in the event!
Adult Event:
Triathlon: 1000 meter swim, 30K bike, 4 mile run.
Duathon: 4 mile run, 30K bike,, 4 mile run.
Kids Event:
7-10 years-old: 100m swim, 3 mile bike, 800m run
11-14 Years: 200m swim, 6 mile bike, 1600m run
The adult event begins at 8 a.m., the kids race will follow. The awards ceremony will take place after the kids are finished.
