NILES – The Niles boys' junior varsity basketball team fell to South Bend Riley 71-45.
Riley lead for most of the game and the Vikings could not recover.
"We've just got to get tough," said Niles coach Ivery Cross. "We've got to be mental, too. A lot of the time, the kids aren't thinking, they're just going out and doing. But we're going to get better."
Zach Payne led the Viking offense with nine points. Kyler Shearer and Andrew Brawley each added seven points.
For Riley, Pierre Burdette had 16 points. Josh King and Marcus Pittman both had 13 points.
