Cass softball team swept

The Cassopolis varsity softball team dropped a non-conference doubleheader to host Constantine Wednesday, April 13.
The Lady Falcons won the first game 15-5 in five innings and then edged the Lady Rangers 10-8 in the nightcap.
Randi Hoffman (1-2) took the loss in the first game as she allowed 15 runs on 15 hits with a strike out and six walks.
Jessica Frucci had a single and a double for Cassopolis.
Carissa Preston had two singles and a double to lead Constantine.
In the second game freshman Symone Pompey (0-2) took the loss as she allowed 10 runs on four hits with two strike outs and five walks.
Ashley Solloway and Frucci both singled and doubled for the Lady Rangers. Becky File added a triple, while Baily Wyant had three hits and Molly Vite two hits.
The Rangers are now 1-4 on the season.
