Brandywine squeezes by Constantine Tuesday evening, 49-48

NILES – The Brandywine varsity basketball team took a one point win over visiting Constantine Tuesday evening, 49-48, in a non-conference game.
The entire contest was a close one, as the Bobcats led after the first period 10-8. Constantine outscored Brandywine 16-13 in the second to claim the 24-23 lead entering halftime. In the third, the game was tied at 34 as Brandywine went on to take the victory.
All but one Bobcat player scored in the game. Kelly Konopka and Brooke Allen each had eight points for Brandywine. Kendra Zache added six. Alexa Perry and Kari Konopka each had five. Katie Smallwood and Mallory Barber had four points. Emily Low and Michelle Smith added three, while Missy Cooper had one.
Brandywine will return to the court on Thursday when it hosts New Buffalo. Tip off is set for 7:30 p.m.
