Lakeland wins national award

ST. JOSEPH - Lakeland HealthCare has been recognized with a gold award from the 2006 Aster Awards competition.
The Aster Awards, hosted by Marketing Healthcare Today and Creative Images Inc. is a national level healthcare marketing awards program recognizing healthcare institution and advertising agencies for excellence in advertising.
With nearly 2,500 entries, participants in the Aster Awards compete with similarly-sized organizations from all over the nation.
Lakeland received a gold award in the external newsletter category for Physician's Practice/Physician's Advantage magazine. The magazine is distributed to physician's offices throughout the southwest Michigan region.
The publication includes several pages of information customized to offer information on Lakeland's services, state-of-the-art technologies, patient safety and quality. Each issue also features articles and expert advice on ways physician's can effectively manage the operational and business aspects of their practice.
“The Aster Awards is one of the more prestigious in healthcare marketing. I'm proud that our work in Physician's Practice won against such stiff competition,” said Ruth Kremer, Director, Marketing.
The Aster Awards are the fastest growing healthcare awards program in the United States. Entries were judged by a prestigious panel of individuals, who are experts in the field of healthcare marketing.
