Crews still searching for missing kayaker

An 18-year-old was last seen by rescuers as he was submerged in Lake Michigan after clinging to an overturned kayak.
The Channahon, Ill., resident was kayaking near the mouth of the New Buffalo harbor, officers on Saturday with two others when all three were capsized by waves at about 4:52 p.m.
One kayaker, also of Channahon, Ill.,  swam to safety while a second kayaker, of Shorewood, Ill., was rescued by New Buffalo Police officers at the end of the east pier and sustained minor injuries.
No body has been recovered, but a helicopter and rescue crews from the New Buffalo Police and Fire are  searching the area.
All three kayakers were wearing life vests.
