PORTER TOWNSHIP — The Cass County Drug Enforcement Team arrested a 46-year-old woman in Porter Township Wednesday following a joint investigation with Michigan Department of Corrections.

Detectives responded to a residence in the 66000 block of Union Road in Porter Township. While searching the residence, detectives located methamphetamine, methamphetamine paraphernalia and evidence of methamphetamine distribution. Detectives arrested the woman for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. 

The suspect’s name is being withheld pending arraignment on the charges in the 4th district court. The investigation is still ongoing.  Agencies assisting with the investigation were the Michigan Department of Correction, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, and K-9 Sitka.
