Honor Credit Union’s history is rooted in supporting education, beginning over 90 years ago as Berrien Teachers Credit Union. Though its membership has grown and expanded to 28 locations across  Michigan, Honor’s dedication to serving educators, students, and community members remains at the  core of its mission.

“At Honor Credit Union, we believe in the power of education to transform lives and communities,” said Scott McFarland, Honor Credit Union’s CEO. “These scholarships are our way of helping the next generation achieve their dreams and work toward  bright futures.”

Honor Credit Union is committed to helping its members build a secure financial future. Over the years,  Honor has awarded more than 200 scholarships to students pursuing their educational goals. This year’s  $30,000 scholarship program continues that tradition, empowering Michigan students to achieve their  goals and create positive change in their communities.

“Winning the Honor Credit Union Scholarship has been a huge boost for me as a STEM student,” shared previous Community Commitment Scholarship recipient and current Grand Valley State University student Mollie Murdock. “It’s helped ease the financial stress, letting me focus solely on my classes, and has given me extra motivation to keep pushing toward my education at Grand Valley.”
