Emelia Blake “Millie” Wilds, 1, of Dowagiac, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 9, 2025, in the comfort of her mama’s arms and her with her dada by her side.
Her life began August 6, 2023, in Kalamazoo, Michigan born to Austin Wilds and Elissa Roberts.
Millie was the light of her parent’s lives. She loved Moana, zoos, aquariums, fireworks, the beach, and lights. She was a happy girl that loved to smile and laugh. She touched so many lives of her family, friends, and even brought together the community and county.
Millie will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her parents Austin Wilds and Elissa Roberts, both of Dowagiac; her grandparents, Bonnie Swan, Brandi Wilds, both of Dowagiac, Larry Roberts, Jr., of Niles, Roscoe Wilds of Lorain, Ohio, Bobby McCarthy of Dowagiac; her great grandparents, Larry Roberts, Sr., Judy (Ronald) Rodriguez, Chuck McCarthy, all of Dowagiac, Joanne (Ron) Delbridge of Oscoda; great great grandmother, Carolyn Williamson of Dowagiac; aunts, Danyell Roberts, Tonya Roberts, Grace McCarthy, Isabell McCarthy, all of Dowagiac, Alaina Roberts of Niles; uncles, Easton Roberts of Niles, Ayden Wilds, Ashton Wilds, both of Dowagiac; and a host of cousins.
She was preceded in death by her great grandmothers, Bonnie McCarthy, Cathy Jackson, Beverly Wilds; her great grandfather, Barry Swan; her great great grandmothers, Sarah Roberts, Bonnie and Herb Whitbey; and great aunt, Tonya Swan.
The family will observe a private remembrance.
The family would like to thank the Bronson Pediatric Hematology and Oncology for their compassion and care for Millie. They basically helped raise her and were a great support.
