DOWAGIAC — Dowagiac police said no one was injured after shots were fired on Riverside Drive on Saturday.

At approximately 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Dowagiac police officers responded to a shots fired complaint on Riverside Drive near Hill Street. Officers spoke to witnesses of this incident who told officers while they were sledding at the Elks Golf Course they observed two vehicles described as a Grey sedan and White SUV discharging firearms. An unknown individual was seen on foot fleeing from the area when the shooting occurred. 

The case is still under investigation. The Dowagiac Police Department is asking the public to call (269) 782-9743 with any information regarding the incident.
