Search warrant leads to robbery arrests inn Lincoln Township

LINCOLN TOWNSHIP — A man and a woman were arrested Tuesday in connection with a robbery that took place in Buchanan Township last month, according to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office.

At approximately 4:03 a.m. Dec. 21, 2024, the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office responded to JD’s Truck Stop, 1655 Mayflower Rd., Buchanan Township for an armed robbery. A masked man entered the business and demanded money from an employee. The masked man was armed with a pistol that was visible in his coat pocket. The masked man then fled the scene and was not apprehended by law  enforcement.  

During the investigation it was determined that more than one suspect was involved in the armed robbery. Tuesday, Detectives from the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office and Lincoln Township Police served a search warrant at a residence in Lincoln Township. As a result of the search warrant, a 31 year-old male and a 50 year-old female were arrested and lodged at the Berrien County Jail for armed robbery. The names of the accused will be released after their arraignment.
