DOWAGIAC — Dowagiac Connected has announced its latest event – the Snow Ball, a magical family winter formal designed to bring the community together. 

The event will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 at Dowagiac Middle School.

This year, DC is replacing the traditional daddy/daughter event with an inclusive family celebration. The Snow Ball offers a unique opportunity for families of all shapes and sizes to create memories. It is an occasion to celebrate winter’s magic with your loved ones, by sharing a special evening of quality time together.

Dress to impress and enjoy dancing, light refreshments and a professional family photo courtesy of Blue Print Photography. Meet the newly crowned Miss Dowagiac and her court as well as other local royalties. 

Young artists are invited to participate in the Winter Wonderland art competition. Any child planning to attend the Snow Ball may create a winter-themed piece of art on 8.5 x 11-inch paper using any medium such as crayons, pencils, markers, paint or photography.

Artwork must be submitted in person to a Dowagiac Connected member on January 25 from 10 a.m to noon at Baker’s Rhapsody. Submitters are asked to include a  include name and contact details on the back of the artwork. Voting will take place at the dance via monetary donations. The first, second and third place winners will be announced on our Facebook page. 

Tickets for the Snow Ball are $8 per person in advance or $15 per person at the door. Tickets can be purchased online at dowagiacconnected.com or via the link on our Facebook event page. Attendees can also present their tickets at participating local businesses to enjoy exclusive deals.
