Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

January 19, 1932 – December 5, 2024

A servant of the Lord, Marilyn Jeanne Stevens, has left her earthly body and journeyed to her new home in Heaven. She was the daughter of Celeste Dorothy Brockmiller Sash and William Harold Sash of Trenton, Michigan. The ninety-two years spent on earth were filled with her insatiable appetite for learning and an upbeat demeanor that motivated her to know no stranger and a curiosity of all creation.

Jeanne earned a degree at Western Michigan University and raised six surviving children: Denise Stevens-Hatch, Diane and Ernest Gonzales, Glenn and Judith Stevens, Michael and Jeanette Stevens, Deborah and Sam Lynch, Tim and Laura Stevens. Also, she enjoyed her ten beautiful grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

She also enjoyed her career with the AT&T Distribution and Material Management Center. She was a Physical Education teacher to children, taught Sunday school lessons for decades within the Methodist church, taught biology to adults toward earning their GEDs, taught immigrants the English language, instructed seniors in aerobics, and taught a love of nature participating in bird watching, gardening, daily walks and traveling.

A celebration of Jeanne’s life will be held at Spring Woods United Methodist Church in Spring, Texas.
