Marjorie Gertrude Aldrich, formerly of Buchanan, MI, born on May 22, 1928, in La Porte, IN, was a beacon of love and compassion throughout her life. We are heartbroken to announce her passing on November 11, 2024. Marjorie, a resolute pillar of strength and support for her family, leaves behind an indelible legacy of courage, resilience, and unyielding love. Her adventurous spirit, seen in her extensive travels and her fondness for trains. She brought joy to all that knew her.
Marjorie spent most of her professional life as a dedicated clerk at Michigan Power Company in Niles, where her diligent work ethic and unwavering commitment were widely respected and admired. Her free time was often spent at home in Buchanan, MI, where she crafted beautiful crochet pot holders, each one a testament to her creativity and meticulous attention to detail. Married on June 4, 1950, Marjorie and her beloved husband, Oris Richard “Dick” Aldrich, had a love story that spanned seven decades and served as a beautiful testament to enduring commitment.
