NILES — The Niles District Library and Niles History Center are teaming up to offer families a day of Holiday magic.
Santa will make his annual visit to the Niles District Library, located at 620 E. Main St., from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, November 23. The event is free and open to the public.
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer will join Santa next door at the History Center. Doors open at 10 a.m. and the special guests will arrive with a police escort at 11 am. Visitors will meet live reindeer from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., courtesy of Reindeer Ranch in Kalamazoo.
Free tickets are required to meet Santa and are available through Friday, November 22. Tickets will not be available the day of the event. You only need one ticket per group or family; please pick up your ticket at the Niles District Library’s Youth Services Desk.
Santa isn’t the only one bringing a little holiday magic and cheer. Visitors are encouraged to check out John Dudley’s Merry Magic Show, taking place at both 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in the Storytime Room at NDL. Visitors can enjoy the magic of the season with a fun scavenger hunt, a take-home craft, or stop by the Friends of the Library Book Sale cart and find a great gift for anyone on your list.
The Fort St. Joseph Museum and Historic Chapin Mansion will be all dressed up for the holidays, decorated by community groups in the theme for the year, Sweet Holiday Memories. Take a photo with Rudolph who will be visiting his reindeer friends.
Admission to Holiday Magic is free, sponsored by the Friends of Niles District Library and Niles History Center. A gift membership to the Friends is perfect for the Niles lover on your list.
