CASSOPOLIS — Sue Walberg, wife of US. Representative Tim Walberg for Michigan’s 5th Congressional District, is to be the keynote speaker for a Women For Trump rally at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. The rally at the Republican Headquarters in Cassopolis, 200 S. Broadway, will showcase other prominent women speakers: Maryn Setsuda, Principal at Coup Strategy; Allison Lindsey, wife of State Senator Jonathan Lindsey; Wendy Glaser, wife of J.D. Glaser, GOP Chair of Michigan’s Fifth District, and Dr. Sherry O’Donnell, former candidate for U.S. Senator.

Live music will be provided by Ben Balos, an up-and-coming young country musician, whose hit song, “Fight, Fight! Fight!” has resonated with Donald Trump fans, as it refers to the recent assassination attempt on Trump’s life.

Showcasing candidates for office, rally leaders have invited those running for office to say a few words. Brad Paquette, State Representative; Monica McMichael, County Clerk; Hope Anderson, Cass County Treasurer; and Rosann Marchetti and Jim Lawrence, running for County Commissioner have confirmed their presence. Jonathan Lindsey is not a candidate this year, but he will say a few words of encouragement to the Women For Trump, as he will be accompanying his wife, Allison.

Women for Trump of SW Michigan organizer, Brenda Beadenkopf, said she is pleased to announce that to add to the excitement, a Trump Train convoy of patriotically decorated cars will go through downtown Cassopolis approximately one hour before the rally, lining up around 1 p.m. She urged people to come early and cheer on the convoy as it goes by. She said this is a family-friendly event, and all are welcome.

“Bring your husbands and your children to support our next president,” she said. “We will be out rain or shine.”
