SILVER CREEK TOWNSHIP — Two people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash Monday morning in Silver Creek Township, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
At approximately 8:25 a.m., the CCSO was called to investigate a personal injury crash at the intersection of Hwy M-51 and Hwy M-152 in Silver Creek Township. Investigation shows that Amanda Sleigh, 44, of South Haven, was traveling southbound on M-51 when a vehicle driven by Christopher Mohney, 58, of Dowagiac, failed to stop at a stop sign at M-152, causing Sleigh to crash into the rear-end of Mohney’s vehicle.
Mohney’s passenger, Jennifer Denton, 51, of Dowagiac, was transported to Ascension Borgess-Lee Hospital by ambulance for her injuries sustained in the crash and Sleigh was also transported there for her injuries sustained in the crash. Seat belts were worn by both subjects. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in this crash.
Assisting in this crash was Sister Lakes Fire, SMCAS Ambulance and VBEMS Ambulance.
