Timmy “Tim” Dan Newton, 65, of Cassopolis, died suddenly Tuesday September 24, 2024, in the comfort of his family’s presence.

His life began March 6, 1959 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the third of eight born to Billy and Violet Newton. He married Glenna Peterson June 27, 1987 in Cassopolis Michigan. She survives.

Tim had a big heart and would help anyone. He was a hard worker, sometimes working multiple jobs. He was an electrician, but also was a mechanic, painted cars, welded and a jack of all trades. Tim liked to keep busy. He enjoyed camping, kayaking and being outdoors. Tim was the deep-fried turkey master. He loved to cook, work in his garden, and especially spend time with his family.

Tim will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Glenna Newton; one daughter, Danielle Kasper of Berrien Springs; one son, Chris (Lacey) Newton of Cassopolis; two step-daughters, Veronica (Robert) Wallace, Kristina Compton; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three sisters, Shiela Hensley, Mari Hansen, Ruby Hyser; one brother, Jerry Newton and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Trenton Newton; two grandsons; sister, Jane Fogg; brothers, Mark Newton, Pete Newton, and his parents.

Family and friends will gather Monday, September 30, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12 Noon in Wagner Family Funerals Connelly Chapel, 202 North Broadway Street, Cassopolis.
