Motorcyclist injured in Jefferson Township crash

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP — A Three Rivers man was injured after his motorcycle crashed into a vehicle Tuesday in Jefferson Township, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that at approximately 2:55 p.m. Hours, deputies responded to a motorcycle-truck crash in the area of Pine Lake Street and Hess Road in Jefferson Township.
The initial investigation showed that the vehicle driven by Robert Tiser, 53, of Cassopolis, was traveling eastbound on Pine Lake Street. The Motorcycle driven by Patrick Davis, 31, of Three Rivers, was traveling northbound on Hess Road. Davis failed to stop at the stop sign and crashed into the truck on Pine Lake Street. Davis was transported by SMCAS ambulance to Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in this crash.
Alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to be a factor in the crash. A helmet was not worn at the time of the crash.
Assisting agencies on scene were Ontwa Township Edwardsburg Police Department, SMCAS Ambulance, and Edwardsburg Fire Department.
The crash remains under investigation.
