Two injured in Mason Township crash

MASON TOWNSHIP — Two Edwardsburg residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Mason Township.
Cass County Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that at approximately 1:37 p.m. Monday, his deputies responded to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Old 205 and Kristy Lane in Mason Township.
Investigation showed Caitlyn Gose, 24, of Edwardsburg, was stopped on Old 205 attempting to turn left onto Kristy Lane. Jakub Jaskiewicz, 23, of Niles, was traveling east on Old 205 and failed to stop striking the vehicle belonging to Gose, and forcing it off the road. Gose and her passenger Joshua Miller, 35, of Edwardsburg, were transported to Elkhart General Hospital for injuries sustained during the crash. Alcohol was not a factor in this crash.
All Occupants were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. This crash remains under investigation. Assisting agencies on scene was SEPSA Fire and SEPSA Ambulance.
