BERRIEN SPRINGS — A popular fair exhibit has returned to the Berrien County Youth Fair with a new look.

The Berrien County Youth Fair celebrated the grand reopening of its “Wonders of Birth” exhibit Monday. The barn has been educating children and adults about animal creation and reproduction since 1991 and features mother and baby animals, species facts and action birthing photos and videos.

The new-look exhibit – open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., has expanded animal options and an activity center for children.

“It was just time to refresh it and have a different option for the community to see to really engage the next generation of Youth,” said Wonders of Birth Co-Superintendent Heather Kaler. “It can be more entertaining and maybe even provide some photo opportunities for the kids to see.

For Kaler, the exhibit provides families with a chance to learn more about the animals that make up farms across the county.

“Hopefully they learn more about the animals that other kids are showing at the fair so that they can relate to it and enjoy the other exhibits that kids are showing throughout the fair,” she said.
