Annual Rod & Roll car show returns to Dowagiac Aug. 17

DOWAGIAC — Classic cars of all makes and models will once again roll into downtown Dowagiac next week.
The Greater Dowagiac Chamber of Commerce will host the 33rd annual Dowagiac Rod & Roll Classic Auto Show from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17.
The event will feature approximately 250 registered show cars, music, awards and camaraderie. Day of show registration for cars is $25, cash only, and swag bags are gifted to the first 250 to register. The gate for show cars to enter will open at 8 a.m. and can be accessed from Depot Drive. There is no charge for the public to view the cars.
“This event continues to be a favorite for so many,” stated event co-chair Kris Soenen. “The energy on the street is palpable as the engines rev, and the sense of community among car people is obvious as you stroll the street and see so many people greeting each other and gathering.”
