DOWAGIAC — Dylan McLean’s high school credentials are impeccable.
The two-time state placer from Parchment High School fashioned a 135-37 overall record, which included three trips to the Division 3 state finals.
McLean became the eighth member of the Southwestern Michigan College wrestling team when he inked his National Letter of Intent recently.
“Dylan comes into our program with college experience and is an extremely hard worker,” said Roadrunner Wrestling Coach Todd Hesson. “He is a great role model for our team … leads by example both on and off the mat.”
McLean joins Dathan Smith, of Constantine; Arslan Bekirov, of Centreville, Ohio; Israel Villegas, of Dowagiac; Alex Saldana, of Hartford; Dayveon Rupert, of Battle Creek Lakeview; Trent Mansfield, of Gobles; and Michael Gonyeau, of Plainwell, in the recruiting class.
The Roadrunners will begin preparation for their 2024-25 season Oct. 1, with its first competition tentatively scheduled for Oct. 29.
