Berrien Springs’ Warda wins Region II Super Farm Tractor championship

CASSOPOLIS — The National Tractor Puller’s Association roared into the Cass County Fair Tuesday night.

Before a large grandstand crowd, Hammerin Hank, driven by Stan Warda, of Berrien Springs, won the Region II Super Farm Tractors title with a pull of 305.660 feet.

Lee Butt’s Press On was second at 304.460 feet and Bill Casey’s Totally Exposed finished third with a pull of 304.350 feet.

Edwardsburg’s Jason Bentzer on Plastic Money finished sixth with a pull of 303.250, while Niles’ Shane T. Masten on Thumpin Pumpkins placed 12th after not recording a pull.

Frank Kruger, of Bailey, Michigan, captured the Region II-West Pro Stock Diesel 4×4 Trucks title with a pull of 326.420 feet.

Nick Stamm, on Frank, placed second with a pull of 325.80-, while Brian C. Shew, on Iron Maiden, was third with a pull of 325.300 feet.
