The City of Niles experienced a Combined Sewer Overflow of an undetermined amount of diluted wastewater Tuesday at the Grant Street siphon located adjacent to the east side parking area of Corewell Health Hospital.

This was due to an excessive amount of rain in a short period of time, approximately two inches in an hour and a half. The overflow lasted from approximately 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
