ORONOKO TOWNSHIP — The Berrien Springs-Oronoko Township Police Department is asking for the public’s help in the identification of a suspect involved in an armed robbery of Dollar General, 9179 M-139, at approximately 8:55 a.m. Tuesday in Oronoko Township.

Officers were dispatched to the Dollar General store on a report of an armed robbery. Witnesses advised that an unknown black male suspect wearing black clothing and a black ski mask had threatened store clerks with a pistol and demanded money. 

The suspect fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash. A police K-9 assisted and tracked the suspect several hundred yards before losing the scent. There were no injuries to Dollar General staff.
