DOWAGIAC — This weekend’s fireworks display is shaping up for a great show, boosted in part with a $500 donation from C. Wimberley Automotive Group.
“C. Wimberley Automall is proud to contribute to an event that everyone can enjoy, and brings together the community,” said Chuck Wimberley, Jr.
This is the fourth year that C. Wimberley has donated to the show.
“C. Wimberley has a strong presence in the community, and we are honored to have their support,” said Kayla Wilson of Dowagiac Connected, the organization that hosts the fireworks. “Fireworks are a special event to us, and it wouldn’t happen without our partners. It’s truly a community effort.”
The fireworks display is slated for June 28 at dusk. The fireworks will be set off at the airport, with viewing areas at Russom Park, the high school, and the armory.
Food trucks will be set up at Russom Park and include La Chula Taco Truck, Ben’s Pretzels, and East Coast Concessions. The concession stand at the soccer field will also be open.
Those interested in contributing to the fireworks, which are funded entirely by donors, may give online at dowagiacconnected.com or by sending a check payable to Dowagiac Connected to PO Box 586, Dowagiac, MI 49047. All donations are tax deductible.
