Champion Buchanan has eight on the D3 All-District team

BUCHANAN — Division 3 District champion Buchanan had eight players and Coach Rachel Carlson named Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association All-District.
All-district is the first step in the all-state process. Players named all-district are then put up for all-region. Anyone named all-regional is eligible to earn Division 3 All-State status.
Horvath hit .509 with two doubles, a triple and 18 RBIs, while Bartley hit .450 with nine doubles, two triples, three home runs and 27 RBIs.
Herman hit .510 with 13 doubles, three triples, three home runs and 45 RBIs and Lozmack hit .452 with nine doubles, four triples, three home runs and 46 RBIs.
Berry hit .429 with nine doubles, five triples, 10 home runs and 45 RBIs.
May hit .387 with nine doubles, two home runs and 35 RBIs, while Carlson hit .366 with five doubles, a triple and 22 RBIs.
Kara was 20-5 on the year with 143 strikeouts. She also hit .392 with 11 doubles, a triple four home runs and 39 RBIs.
Brumitt hit .468 with 1 triple, 10 home runs and 25 RBIs. Parker hit .507 with 10 doubles, a triple, six home runs and 31 RBIs.
