Annual Bluegrass Festival returns to downtown Niles

NILES — The sounds of string instruments filled the air around the amphitheater at Riverfront Park as day two of the 22nd annual Niles Bluegrass festival got underway Friday afternoon. Friday’s lineup included the Red Bud Ramblers, Backwater Revival and The Erly.
Organized by the Riverfront Optimist Club, the festival, which began Thursday, May 30 and ends Sunday, June 2, features several popular bluegrass and Americana acts, food and beverage vendors and carnival attractions.
Below is the remaining festival lineup:
Saturday
Noon – Niles Groove School
2 p.m. – Daniel Cole Dailey
3 p.m. – Niles Bluegrass Band
4 p.m. – Watershed Ramblers
5 p.m. – Jesse Manns & and the Bluegrass Band
6 p.m. – Watershed Ramblers
6:50 p.m. Niles Bluegrass Band
7:40 p.m. – Jesse Manns and the Bluegrass Band
8:30 p.m. – Fillmores Ladder
Stage closes at 11 p.m.
Sunday
The Sunday music is performed in memory of Audie Blaylock, a longtime friend of the bluegrass festival.
11 a.m. – Spero House Christian service.
1 p.m. – John Lee & Friends
2:30 p.m. – Deadwood
3:20 p.m. – P. Scott & The Prairie Dogs
4:20 p.m. – Next Paige
5:20 p.m. DEADWOOD
