Buchanan students awarded at annual honors convocation

BUCHANAN — Buchanan High School held its annual Honors Convocation on Sunday afternoon, recognizing the outstanding achievements of the Class of 2024. The ceremony highlighted the academic excellence and dedication of the students, with over $1.5 million in scholarship money awarded.

Out of 92 graduates, 44 received Honor or High Honor designations, showcasing their hard work and commitment to academic success.

The top 10 students of the graduating class were honored for their exceptional performance:

  3. Nicholas Finn
  4. Sydney Greaves
  5. Alaina Kehoe
  6. Camille Lozmack
  7. Destiny Thomas
  8. Lucy Thomas
  9. Alaina Waterloo
  10. Hannah Herman

The ceremony also recognized the Salutatorians and Valedictorians for their exemplary achievements:Salutatorians:

Principal, Brian Pruett, expressed immense pride in the students’ accomplishments, stating, “The Class of 2024 has demonstrated remarkable perseverance and dedication. Their achievements are a testament to their hard work and the support of our dedicated faculty and staff.”
