NILES CHARTER TOWNSHIP — A new local restaurant is ready to offer customers a fresh, tasty dine-in experience.
JC’s Grill, 2726 S. 11th St., Niles, opened its doors for the first time Monday morning. The restaurant, open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week, features many of the classic breakfast, lunch and dinner staples customers are familiar with and will soon offer a wide selection of dessert options.
Owner Allen Wiese signed a lease with the space in February and spent two months bringing the space to life. The space was the former home of the Harvest Cafe.
With fruits and vegetables from Shelton’s Market and meats from Lowery’s Meat Market in Buchanan, Wiese hopes his new business venture will keep customers in Niles and bring out-of-towners into the city.
“I hope to be able to offer to the community a good place to eat without having to go out of town and make another state money,” Wiese said. “With our vendors, we tried to stay as local as we can to help our community, not somebody else’s community.”
