BERRIEN COUNTY — Christopher Quattrin announced Tuesday that he will be running for re-election to a third term as Berrien County Drain Commissioner. He is seeking the Republican nomination in the Aug. 6 primary election.
“I am running to continue fighting to keep politics out of our water,” Quattrin said. “Since taking office, I have effectively fought for a balanced approach to protecting our water quality, private property rights, and our way of life. My mission is clear: clean water and clean government. While we have accomplished a lot, there is much more work to do to ensure the proper management of our water resources which is essential to every aspect of life across Berrien County from outdoor recreation to job creation, tourism, housing, commercial development, and agriculture. As a father and a cancer survivor, I know that there is nothing more important than protecting health and safety. That starts with clean, safe water for all.”
Quattrin has more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry encompassing program and project management, field management, design, engineering, cost engineering, estimating, and consulting. Quattrin was born in Berrien County, attended local schools and raised his four children there. He holds master’s degrees in civil engineering and business management, as well as a bachelor’s degree in mathematics.
