Rangers remain game behind White Pigeon with win

CENTREVILLE — The Cassopolis girls basketball team remained a game behind Southwest 10 Conference leader White Pigeon following its 41-23 victory over host Centreville Friday night.
The Rangers (5-2, 5-1 Southwest 10) shutout the Bulldogs 7-0 in the opening quarter. Cassopolis extended its lead to 19-7 by halftime and 38-12 after three quarters as it held Centreville to five points to start the second half.
Ryley Bowsher led the Rangers with a game-high 13 points. Ella Smith added 12 points and Atyanna Alford six points.
No Centreville player reached double figures.
The Rangers were back in action Saturday as it made up a Southwest 10 game with Lawrence.
