CASSOPOLIS —  A South Bend resident slid off the road on Old M-205 near Cassopolis Road in Mason Township Friday night.

Cass County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the single-vehicle crash at approximately 9:14 p.m.

Investigation shows that Porfiro Luna, 39, was traveling north on Cassopolis Road, when he lost control of his vehicle due to weather and road conditions. Luna’s vehicle went off the road to the left and struck a power pole. Luna was transported to Elkhart Memorial Hospital for minor injuries sustained in the crash.

Luna was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Alcohol and drugs are not considered a factor in this crash.
