THREE RIVERS — Aliza Munro, a three-time All-Wolverine Conference volleyball selection from Three Rivers, will continue her academic and athletic career at Spring Arbor College.
Munro chose Spring Arbor because she was looking for a Christian college.
“I fell in love with the warm and friendly environment and connected instantly with the volleyball coach,” she said.
Munro, who helped the Wildcats to a share of the Wolverine Conference championship last fall, said she will be majoring in exercise science, “which Spring Arbor has an excellent program for this major,” she said.
Munro, the daughter of Don and Liz Monro, was also bseing recruited by Indiana Weslyian, Anderson University in South Carolina and Palm Beach Atlanta.
“While going south was my dream to go to college, these schools were very expensive even with scholarships,” she said. “Spring Arbor is a hour and a half away from home and family and friends will be able to watch me play which would not have been the case had a went south.”
