Bucks rout Climax-Scotts for third straight win

BUCHANAN — Host Buchanan ran its winning streak to three games as it defeated Climax-Scotts 61-31 in non-conference boys basketball action Friday night.
The game was close throughout the first half, but the Bucks (4-5) outscored Climax-Scotts 33-10 in the second half to pull away to the victory.
Buchanan led 11-8 after one quarter and 28-21 at halftime. The Bucks exploded for 21 points in the third quarter while holding Climax-Scotts to two points. Leading 49-23 heading into the fourth quarter, the Bucks continued to dominate and finished with a 30-point victory.
Karmine Brown had a game-high 21 points to pace Buchanan, which also got 17 points from Logan Wiggins.
The Bucks return to Lakeland Conference play Tuesday night as they head to Berrien Springs.
