MONTAGUE — Maddison Ward, of Brandywine, finished second at 170 pounds at the Lady Mat Cat Invitational hosted by Montague Friday.

Amarisa Manuel, of Romeo, edged Ward 5-4 in the championship match.

Marcellus’ Carlee Osborn finished sixth at 170 pounds after being pinned by Columbia Central’s Brianna Boone.

Ward pinned Standish-Sterling’s Miley Lyons in 13 seconds in the opening round before pinning Osborn in 3:58 of their quarterfinal match. In the semifinals, Ward blanked Bronson’s Kailynne Scare 11-0 in the semifinals.

MacKenzie Witt was 1-2 for the Bobcats at 235 pounds.

Whitemore Prescott was the team champion with 130 points. Host Montague was second with 105.5, while Romeo was third with 100.5 points.

Marcellus finished 19th with 36 points and Brandywine 27th with 23 points.
