Sturgis man rolls vehicle in Porter Township

UNION — A 22-year-old Sturgis resident was injured when he lost control of his vehicle and rolled over on Birch Road north of Chapel Hill Street in Porter Township Friday.
Cass County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the single-vehicle crash at approximately 12:46 p.m.
Investigation showed that Tyler Meringa was traveling north on Birch Road when he lost control of his vehicle going around a curve. Meringa’s vehicle went off the road to the right and rolled. Meringa was transported to Three Rivers hospital for minor injuries sustained in the crash.
Meringa was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Alcohol and drugs are not considered a factor in this crash. Speed is considered a factor in the crash.
