Roadrunners rout Battle Ground Prep 83-40

DOWAGIAC — A big first half helped the host Southwestern Michigan College men’s basketball team pick up its fifth win of the season Tuesday night.
The Roadrunners (5-3) outscored Battle Ground Prep 42-17 in the opening half at the 1st Source Bank Fieldhouse. Southwestern Michigan scored 41 points in the final 20 minutes to complete the 83-40 rout.
Prince Adams (Evanston, Illinois) scored a game-high 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Roadrunners, who also got 15 points from Niles’ Mari Nichols, 12 points from Niles’ Nate Goins and 12 points from Niles’ Mikel Forrest.
Goins also had five rebounds and five assists, while Forrest had six rebounds and four assists.
The Roadrunner are back in action Saturday as they head to Muskegon Community College for a Michigan Community College Athletic Association non-divisional contest.
