BERRIEN TOWNSHIP— The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office continues its efforts to locate Kelly Lee Gravit, a 49-year-old white male from Cassopolis who went missing on Nov. 11.
Despite efforts to locate him, Gravit remains unaccounted for.
The Sheriff’s Office received assistance from volunteers from the Branch County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit in utilizing their scent-tracking bloodhounds in the vicinity of the 6400 block of Dean’s Hill in Berrien Township, where Gravit was last seen. The dogs led handlers to a specific area on the shoulder of the road down the street from the medical facility.
This finding leads deputies to believe that Kelly Lee Gravit may have been picked up by a vehicle. Aerial drones have also been utilized to survey the surrounding area, but unfortunately, these efforts have not provided additional information regarding his whereabouts.
The BCSO is urging the public to come forward with any information that may assist in locating him.
“The Sheriff’s Office is grateful for the community’s support thus far, and we want to emphasize the importance of continued vigilance in helping us bring Mr. Gravit home safely” reads a BCSO release.
Those with information, especially those with details about a vehicle picking up an individual matching Gravit’s description, please contact the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office at 269) (983-7141.
