Perseus was born Nov. 26, 2021, at Spectrum Health Lakeland. He was 7 pounds, 7 ounces and 20-and-a-half inches long.

He has one brother, Xander Smith, 9.

Family includes maternal grandparents, Audrey and Ryan Velley, of Niles; paternal grandparents, Sheryl Rygg, of Berrien Springs, and Ron Smith, of Sullivan, Illinois.
