Gregory A. Heron, 36 of Dowagiac, perished tragically in a house fire on Thursday, March 25. Greg was born May 23, 1984 in Dowagiac, Michigan to Carl and Donna (Heron) Stewart. Greg attended Dowagiac area schools. He worked as a Press Machine Operator at Michigan Die Cast in Dowagiac.

Greg loved to fish, golf, and was an avid Detroit Lions fan. His purpose in life was always to have a good time and make anyone around him laugh.

Greg’s fiancé, Dolly Waterson, perished in the accidental house fire with him.

Surviving is his daughter, Emmalynn Heron of Michigan City, IN. Parents, Carl (Debra) Stewart of Goodhue, Minnesota and Donna Heron of Waverly, Tennessee. Sister, Heather (Kevin Klein) Hotrum of Waverly, Tennessee, Brother, John (Alexis Winchester) Hotrum of Berrien Springs, Michigan. Brother, Kyle (Kelly) Stewart of South Haven, Michigan. Beloved nieces, Jocelynn Klein, Madison Stewart, Harper Hotrum, and Oakley Klein. Nephews, Maddox Klein, Jackson Stewart, and Maysun Hotrum.
