ONTWA TOWNSHIP — The Cass County Drug Enforcement Team announced that on Tuesday detectives conducted a traffic stop near the 22000 block of North Shore Drive in Ontwa Township.

Upon further investigation, detectives detained and arrested a male driver and female passenger. During the search of the vehicle, detectives located methamphetamine and methamphetamine paraphernalia.

A 20-year-old male was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, and other motor vehicle violations.  A 24-year-old female was also arrested for outstanding warrants. The suspects’ names are being withheld pending arraignment on the charges in the 4^th district court. The investigation is still on going at this time.
