After reading the story in today’s [Saturday] Dowagiac Daily News, “Lewis Cass ISD Considers Title (Name) Change” because of Lewis Cass’ historical racial injustices, I realized that all of us could do a part in changing our nation’s historical identity for the better.

I am willing to help reduce historical anxieties by volunteering to collect all $1, $2 and $20 paper bills you are now holding. This will save you the trauma of remembering the slave-holders depicted on those denominations during your commercial transactions in the future. And if you become upset by “In God We Trust” shown on all denominations, send them to me as well.
